Monthly Business Luncheons and Presentations:
Held monthly on the third Thursday at the Little America in Salt Lake City . Luncheons feature business presentations, reports on deal flow activity for the month and unique networking opportunities.
Five Minute Forum:
An opportunity for members to introduce guests and announce important business activites and services in a high-visibility setting at the monthly luncheons.
Monthly Deal Flow Spotlight:
Report of financial transactions that have taken place in Utah over the past 30 days is presented at every business luncheon.
The Utah Deal Flow Report :
MWCN members have access to the most comprehensive source of financial deal flow information available in the state of Utah through the Utah Deal Flow Report , published in hard copy each year and now available in an Online Deal Flow Report format through this site. Click here to report a deal .
Events
Utah 100 Awards :
MountainWest Capital Network sponsors this annual event to honor Utah 's top 100 fastest growing companies, the top 25 revenue growth companies, and the 15 "Emerging Elite" businesses in Utah . Each Fall, winners are chosen from an impressive group of high-growth applicants and honored by the Governor and others.
Deal Flow Awards Luncheon
Each year MountainWest Capital Network honors companies and their leaders for significant contributions to Deal Flow in the state of Utah . Awards are presented in each of three categories (Public Offerings, Venture Capital, and Mergers & Acquisitions). The Deal Flow report for the year is presented and a prominent individual from the deal flow community shares his wisdom and war stories. Past speakers have included Ken Woolley of ExtraSpace Storage, Patrick Byrne of Overstock.com, Harris Simmons of Zions Bancorporation, and the former CEO of Franklin Covey.
Entrepreneur of the Year Award:
Each year, MountainWest Capital Network recognizes a Utah business executive who has built a successful Utah-based company, inspiring others to participate in the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship. Some past recipients of the award include Dr. Hunter Jackson (NPS Pharmaceuticals); David Evans (Evans & Southerland Computer Corp.); Ray Noorda (Novell); Dale Ballard (Ballard Medical Products); and Dr. Dinesh Patel (TheraTech).
